1. What you may do

• Download, install, and use Quill for any purpose, including paid work and running a business. Charging for work you do with Quill, such as writing or publishing posts, is allowed.
• Read, change, and build Quill's source code, and use the resulting Quill derivative yourself.
• If you use Quill for an organization, let people in that organization use a Quill derivative you built, as long as it is not made available to anyone outside it.
• Fork Quill's repository on GitHub, as GitHub's Terms of Service allow, for example to propose changes through a pull request.

2. What you may not do

• Sell it. You may not sell, rent, lease, or sublicense Quill or a Quill derivative, or charge for access to either, including charging to host it, install it, or support it.
• Distribute it. Apart from GitHub forking as allowed in Section 1, you may not publish, share, or distribute Quill or a Quill derivative, in source or built form, whether for free or for payment. This includes posting builds in a fork's releases.
• Take credit for it. You may not present Quill or a Quill derivative as your own work, or as made or endorsed by me, and you may not remove or change the copyright notices in it.
• Use its name or branding. This license grants no rights to the Quill name, its icon, or my name. You may not use them to identify any other product or service.

3. Third-party components

Quill includes third-party software listed in NOTICES.md. Each component stays under its own license, and nothing here limits the rights those licenses give you.

4. Ownership

Quill is licensed, not sold. I keep all copyright and other rights in Quill that this license does not expressly grant to you.

5. Ending this license

If you break this license, it ends automatically, and you must stop using Quill and delete every copy of Quill and of any Quill derivative you have. Sections 2, 4, 6, 7, and 8 still apply after it ends.

6. No warranty

Quill is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. I do not warrant that Quill will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure, or that any defect will be corrected.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, even if advised of the possibility of such damages, whatever the cause of action or theory of liability.

8. Governing law

This license is governed by the laws of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The courts located in Florida have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from it. If any part of this license is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.

9. Changes to this license

I may publish new versions of this license. Each release of Quill is covered by the version of this license included with it.
